My works celebrate an aesthetic of imperfection of the well worn surface, \ the imagined history of an object and the history of a room.
I am interested in the accidental in the works, while scraping back, sanding and scratching into layers, adding and eliminating until a final work emerges.
It is the objectness of the works and their placement, which has become a focus of the process. I am attempting to locate a poetry in the relationships, combinations and interactions between materials and objects.
